You have to spend money to really make any progress in this game. I liked the old version better. Yes, it had in game purchases, but you could still progress in the game fairly well and only make occasional in app purchases. Now, if you do make purchases in game, it doesn't get you far in the development of your town. This game will rack up quickly. Too bad.

Not at all what the ad made it out to be. You can't choose where to build. You start on an island. Once you but something with in-game cash, cost gold to buy it again and that cost IRL money. It's not impossible to play without paying but it will take a very long time. There's a way to pay for no ads that also ads several perks but it cost $65! I've never played any of the previous games so I can't compare.

basic city builder. my main complaint is the video for rewards bit, as literally every time I watch a video, it either stops right before it finishes, causing me to have to back out of it and get advertised to for free or the video ends, the x out button doesnt work, and you have to back out anyway to get no rewards. almost feels purposeful. isn't my connection, and certainly isn't my phone.
